This is a joint project between schools in UK, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Finland and Turkey. The aim is to study trees and forests in the different localities and to look into some of the technological uses of wood as well as social and economic issues surrounding forestry. Environmental concerns are also included in the study.
Teams from each school will visit one of the participating schools roughly twice a year for the two years of the project.
The project will be publicised in each participating region and funding will be obtained through the generosity of the British Council Lifelong Learning Programme.
